Description
Receptors for the Fc region of IgG (FcyRs) are important for controlling immune responses. FcyRs are divided in three classes FcyRI (CD64), FcyRII (CD32), and FcyRIII(CD16). The coordinated function of activating and inhibitory resceptors is necessary for successful initiation, amplification, and termination of immune responses. CD16 is encoded by a single gene, the protein product is type I transmembrane protein having two extra cellular Ig-like domains, and is exressed on a variety of myeloid and lymphoid cells.
Storage conditions and stability
Lyophilized CD16 is stable at 2 – 8 °C for 24 months from production date. The lyophilized CD16 should be reconstituted in sterile distilled water to your desired concentration. Should be stored in working aliquots at -20°C when reconstituted.
