Description
Accutase® is the gentle replacement for Trypsin in all adherent cell cultures and especially when working with sensitive cell types. Accutase® is a non-mammalian, non-bacterial ready-to-use solution.
PAN-Biotech produces and distributes Accutase® under license of the patentee Innovative Cell Technologies. Exclusive and for the whole of Europe.
Composition
Accutase® enzymes (activity > 500 U/ml) in DPBS w/o Ca/Mg with 0.5 mM EDTA and phenol red.
Suitability
Accutase® can be used as a direct replacement of Trypsin for cell dissociation. Accutase® is a ready-to-use cell detachment solution made of collagenolytic and proteolytic enzymes. It is used for routine detachment of adherent cells from tissue culture plates and flasks. A multitude of cell types has been successfully sub-cultured with Accutase®, including fibroblasts, endothelial, vascular smooth muscle cells, as well as hepatocytes, embryonal stem cells, and many immortalized cell lines such as adherent CHO and BHK cells, HEK 293, L929, HeLa, 3T3, and others. Accutase® is free of mammalian or bacterial products.
Gentle detachment of cells for:
analysis of cell surface markers,
transfection procedures,
migration or proliferation assays,
flow cytometry,
and routine cell passage.
Special advantages
Ready-to-use solution
Gentle and effective cell detachment
Lower contamination risk
No neutralization required
Protection of surface epitopes
Maximum cell viability and enhanced plating efficiency
Alternative to Trypsin
